Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support Kindergarten and First Grade students with intensive needs in an elementary school setting in Keene, NH. This role requires a dedicated professional proficient in addressing diverse learning challenges while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualized instruction tailored to students with intensive special education needs.
  • Assisting with daily care routines, including toileting and wheelchair transfers.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support student development and progress.
  • Maintaining accurate records and developing appropriate educational plans in line with New Hampshire special education standards.
  • Communicating effectively with families and caregivers regarding student progress and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Hampshire Special Education licensure is required.
  • Experience working with early childhood populations (Kindergarten to First Grade), particularly those with intensive needs.
  • Ability to provide hands-on support, including toileting assistance and wheelchair transfers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication within diverse therapy and student populations.

Position Details:

  • Contract duration from August 4, 2025, to May 31, 2026.
  • Full-time schedule: 35 hours per week, 5 days per week.
  • Pay rate starting at $36 per hour.
