Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with strong cardiac background and Epic experience required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a cardiac-focused Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within an acute care hospital
- Patient population includes chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia, and overflow from medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, and orthopedic units
- Care for patients post-cardiac cath with stent, ICD/pacer insertions, and cardioversion procedures (no CABG)
- Patient ratios are 1:5
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to similar units as needed
- Epic charting system used, Epic experience required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Unit manages a variety of acute and complex cardiac and medical conditions in a fast-paced trauma hospital setting
- Preferred skills include CPI, sheath removal, and care of ventilated patients
- Scrub color is flexible; any color permitted
- No cost for parking
- Holiday coverage required; if contracted during all three major winter holidays, at least two must be worked
- First-time travelers accepted with at least two years of experience and prior Epic experience

- Active NH or compact RN license required; pending license accepted
- Minimum 2 years recent PCU experience required with strong background within the last year
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (AHA or Red Cross only), and EKG test on arrival
- Epic EMR experience required
- References required for consideration; may start with a second reference pending
- Local candidates living within 50 miles are accepted at the local rate
- Former employees of SolutionHealth facilities are not eligible
