As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist with access control and badge checks, use a computer and/or tablet to document activity, and provide strong customer service through clear, professional communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and property-related issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, offices, and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by monitoring visitor flow, verifying authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate departments or check-in areas.
  • Monitor alarms, access control points, and surveillance systems when assigned, and report irregularities per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed written reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, and escalate concerns through the chain of command as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership during incidents, drills, and routine operations.
  • Provide assistance with wayfinding, de-escalation support, and customer service requests while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions.
  • Perform walking and standing duties for extended periods in variable indoor and outdoor conditions, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the site schedule.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
