The heat treat operator will be responsible for overseeing the heat treat process of screws after their manufacture in the production facility. This involves moving screws from the manufacturing building to the heat treat building, operating a heat treat furnace, and using a forklift for loading screws into the furnace. The role requires standing for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
Responsibilities
- Operate the heat treat furnace to process screws.
- Use a forklift to load screws into the furnace.
- Maintain consistent operation standards and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with fellow heat treat operators.
- Stand for extended periods during shifts.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical inclination and aptitude.
- Prior machine operation experience.
- Experience in heat treating processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with racking, construction, or stamping press.
- Background in HVAC, plumbing, or oil change can be beneficial.

Work Environment
Work within a state-of-the-art heat treat facility with opportunities to collaborate alongside fellow heat treat operators. This weekend role involves standing for 12 hours straight on Saturdays and Sundays. The facility is developing temperature-controlled racking rooms, enhancing the work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
