Job Description

Job DescriptionStep into a day where your diagnostics keep an entire fleet on the move

You clock in to a clean, well-equipped NFI shop. The next tractor in your bay flags an intermittent electrical fault. You connect JPRO and OEM diagnostic software on a Windows laptop, trace the issue with a multimeter, execute the repair, and sign off on a DOT-ready inspection. That win keeps a dedicated customer route running on time — and you’re the pro who made it happen.

What you’ll do

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on tractors and trailers using standard testing methods and computer-based tools (JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, Windows).
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance across our dedicated fleet of tractors & trailers.
  • Complete DOT inspections in line with FMCSA standards.
  • Work safely and effectively in a shop environment; lift/pull 75+ lbs without restriction, stand or lie for extended periods, and move flexibly to access equipment.

What you’ll bring

  • Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a Class B license preferred.
  • Technical or advanced degree, or 2+ years of equivalent hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Comfort using diagnostic platforms and meters to pinpoint faults.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills; team-first approach.
  • Willingness to complete an on-site evaluation with training recommendations.

What you’ll get

  • Competitive hourly pay: $28–$32 based on experience and certifications.
  • $2,000 sign-on bonus to welcome you aboard.
  • Unlimited employee referral bonus program.
  • Reliable, consistent scheduling — our recruiters help you find a shift that fits your life.
  • A dedicated, well-maintained company fleet you’ll be proud to support.
  • Health, dental, vision, and Rx coverage.
  • Major shop tools, safety PPE, and uniforms provided, plus a boot allowance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • PTO starting on day one and eight paid holidays.
  • Ongoing mechanic training, career development, and ASE certification reimbursement with study resources.
