Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 special education teaching position is available on a contract basis for the current school year. The role is situated in White River Junction, VT, and focuses on delivering individualized educational support to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and specialists to support student success
Monitor and document students academic progress and behavioral development
Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to acmodate varying abilities
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12
Experience working with students who have a range of disabilities and learning challenges
Strong munication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
Ability to design and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs
