???? Make an Impact in the Earliest Years of Life

Are you passionate about helping children thrive and supporting families when it matters most?
Join Greater Seacoast Community Health (GSCH) as an Early Childhood Development Specialist — a licensed or license-eligible mental health clinician who will make a lasting difference in the lives of children ages 0–5 and their caregivers.

In this vital role, you’ll implement the Zero to Three HealthySteps model, working directly with families and partnering with our Primary Care, Social Work, and Behavioral Health teams to ensure that every child has the best possible start in life.

You’ll provide early childhood mental health and developmental support, strengthen caregiver-child relationships, and connect families to the community resources they need — all within an organization dedicated to compassionate, inclusive, and accessible care for all.

???? What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with primary care, behavioral health, and social work teams to assess and support children ages 0–5.
  • Provide caregiver education, intervention strategies, and emotional support.
  • Conduct developmental and family screenings using tools like SWYC, ASQ, MCHAT, and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale.
  • Make and follow up on referrals to ensure families access the right services.
  • Support quality improvement goals related to pediatric screening and early childhood health.
  • Track and report data for program outcomes and grants.

???? Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Development, or Mental Health Counseling. (REQUIRED)
  • License: Licensed or license-eligible (within 1 year) as an Independent Clinical Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor in NH. (REQUIRED)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years working with young children and families (healthcare setting preferred). (REQUIRED)
  • Other: Current BLS certification required; EHR experience preferred.

???? You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Believe in the power of early intervention and healthy family relationships.
  • Have strong communication, organizational, and clinical assessment skills.
  • Enjoy collaboration in a multidisciplinary, mission-driven environment.
  • Bring compassion, cultural humility, and a nonjudgmental approach to care.

???? Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance (including a no-premium option for employee-only coverage)
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability
  • Optional long-term disability and FSA plans
  • Earned time off (vacation/sick) + 6 paid holidays
  • Benefits eligibility starting at 24 hours/week; full benefits at 32 hours/week
