Job Summary:The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers, helping ensure smooth patient flow and efficient daily operations. This role performs essential hands-on tasks and supports both clinical procedures and front-desk activities to maintain high-quality patient care.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient exams and procedures.
- Take vital signs and document patient information.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness.
- Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection.
- Administer medications as directed (where permitted).
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
- Update and maintain medical records.
- Provide patient education and support.
- Manage front-desk tasks such as check-in, check-out, and phone calls.
Required Skills:
- Ability to perform basic clinical procedures.
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
- Accuracy in documentation and record management.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection.
- Front-desk and scheduling experience.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Additional Skills:
- Maintaining exam room cleanliness.
- Administering medications where permitted.
- Supporting patient flow throughout the clinic.
