This opportunity seeks two registered nurses to support students within a middle school and preschool setting in Dover, NH. These contract roles offer the chance to apply specialized nursing skills in a school environment, making a meaningful difference in student health and daily life.
Position Details:
- Location: Dover, NH
- Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY) through June 15, 2026
- Role 1: Full-time RN for Middle School
- Manage Type I diabetes care for a 1:1 male student
- Bus riding required (approximately 6:30 AM start and 2:30 PM end)
- School hours: 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM, Monday through Friday
- Role 2: Part-time RN for Preschool
- Provide care for a 1:1 preschool student with complex medical needs, including NG tube and seizure management
- Anticipated hours: Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Bus riding may be required
- Start date is mid-February (contingent on equipment and documentation)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN licensure in New Hampshire
- Experience and training in managing Type I diabetes for pediatric patients (required for Full-time Middle School role)
- Competence in handling complex medical situations such as NG tubes and seizure care (required for Part-time Preschool role)
- Ability and willingness to ride the bus with students as needed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care tailored to each student's medical needs during school hours and on bus transportation
- Monitor student health and respond promptly to medical emergencies
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with healthcare providers, school personnel, and families
- Support students participation in school activities through attentive health management
