Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based nursing professional (LPN or higher) is needed to provide one-on-one substitute nursing care for a middle school student in Keene, NH. This contract position is scheduled throughout the school year and requires specific clinical skills and a compassionate approach to student health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care during assigned days and times.
- Monitor and manage residual and delay bolus feeding via pump and G-tube.
- Administer feedings using feeding pumps and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor vital signs including heart rate and oxygen saturation as needed.
- Perform oral and nasal suctioning and provide mouth wound care when necessary.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure student health and safety.
Scheduled Dates and Hours:
- February 2: 7:008:30 AM (additional hours up to a half-day may be available)
- February 14, 15, 16: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
- March 13: 11:00 AM2:30 PM
- March 16: 7:008:30 AM (additional hours up to a half-day may be available)
- March 25, 26, 27: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
- March 30, 31: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
- May 6, 7: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
- May 12, 13, 14: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant school nursing experience.
- Ability to safely administer G-tube feedings and provide suctioning care.
- Strong assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort working with pediatric populations in a school environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with school personnel.
