Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available at an elementary school located in Claremont, NH. This position involves managing a self-contained classroom and requires an active New Hampshire teaching certification. The role is a contract position for the current school year, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 16, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with special needs within a self-contained classroom setting.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records and communication regarding student development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of individualized education plans and special education laws.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Schedule and Location:
- Elementary School in Claremont, NH.
- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 2:40 PM.
- Contract duration: ASAP through June 16, 2026.
