We are looking for an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team on a contract basis in Boston, Massachusetts. This part-time role (hybrid primarily remote) focuses on providing legal representation in asylum cases and individual hearings, offering a meaningful opportunity to support clients navigating complex immigration matters. Responsibilities:
• Draft comprehensive legal briefs, memoranda, and court submissions to support case arguments.
• Represent clients during asylum hearings and individual calendar hearings in immigration court.
• Review and analyze inbound forms and supporting documents for compliance and accuracy.
• Conduct detailed legal research to develop case strategies and arguments.
• Provide thorough legal advice and guidance to clients on their immigration cases.
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure deadlines and timelines are consistently met.
• Prepare clients for court appearances, ensuring they understand the process and expectations.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law and membership in good standing with a state bar.
• 5-7 years of experience as an immigration attorney, specializing in asylum and removal defense.
• Demonstrated courtroom expertise, particularly in asylum and individual hearings.
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, is required.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage part-time hours effectively.
