Summary
Above Beyond Childcare is looking to fill the position of Lead Teacher! This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual to create a nurturing, positive, and safe classroom for the children in their care. Lead Teachers develop a monthly curriculum and manage the day-to-day activities of the classroom. This position requires an understanding of early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practices, and the need for healthy social-emotional relationships.
Duties
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
