Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with orthopaedic specialists while providing personalized, hands-on care to patients recovering from injury or surgery. The ideal candidate is compassionate, motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting where patient outcomes and satisfaction are the top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to patients, demonstrating courtesy, respect, and empathy.

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs, establishing and modifying goals as appropriate.

  • Manage and coordinate simultaneous patient care activities (“dovetailing”) without compromising quality.

  • Perform related administrative tasks including booking appointments, entering charges, and maintaining clean treatment rooms.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with practice protocols.

  • Participate in mandatory trainings, including orientation, OSHA, and software training.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.

  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, and staff.

  • Excellent clinical assessment and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in manual therapy skills, therapeutic modalities, and use of resistive equipment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.

  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinic setting.

  • Computer literacy; MS Word and medical office software experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment (minimum 50 lbs).

  • Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and stair climbing.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings.

  • Visual and hearing acuity correctable to normal.

Work Environment

  • Outpatient clinical setting with regular patient interaction.

  • Fast-paced environment with exposure to patient elements and occasional high stress.

Compensation

Salary is based on experience, with a range of $75,000 – $110,000 annually.
