Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An Occupational Therapist is needed for a leave contract position in the Wenham, MA area supporting K-12 students. This districtwide role will primarily be assigned to Cutler Elementary School, Miles River Middle School, and Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. The position runs from April 27, 2026 through June 13, 2026, providing essential OT services to students across elementary, middle, and high school settings.

As a vital member of the Special Education team, the Occupational Therapist delivers direct services both inside and outside the general education classroom using push-in and pull-out models. Collaboration with special education and general education teachers is essential to support student success by implementing developmentally appropriate treatment plans addressing fine motor, visual motor, and sensory integration needs. The OT conducts assessments and evaluations, contributing to IEP development by writing goals, objectives, and accommodations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering a variety of assessment tools to support eligibility determinations
  • Consulting with teachers, parents, and staff on student progress and accommodations
  • Participating in IEP, 504, and student support team meetings
  • Maintaining required documentation for Medicaid reimbursement and legal compliance
  • Supporting vocational opportunities within specialized programs
  • Implementing assistive technology solutions tailored to student needs
  • Attending district and school-wide trainings and professional development
  • Adhering to all laws and professional ethics standards

Candidates should demonstrate expertise in neurophysiology as it relates to neurodevelopmental and sensorimotor dysfunction in school-age populations. Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary educational teams is essential.
