Special Education Teacher
Location: Pembroke, NH 03275
Pay Range: $35 - $55 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Type: Part-time, Full-Time, Substitute
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in NH 03275. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. You will collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that helps all students succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
- Provide direct instruction and classroom support to students with learning disabilities.
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusion.
- Maintain clear communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (therapists, counselors, administrators).
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Valid New Hampshire teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with K-12 students with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for helping students succeed in an inclusive environment.
