Salary: 3rd shift – $30/hr – $35/hr
Shift: 3rd Shift (with overtime/weekend availability as needed)
Supervision: Reports to Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Injection Mold Maintenance Technician to join our Gardner, MA facility on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting injection molds and related tooling to ensure optimal production uptime and equipment performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates should bring strong technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Principal Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on injection molds, tooling, and related equipment
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds to ensure proper operation and longevity
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mold and tooling issues to identify root causes of defects or malfunctions
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, including work orders and tooling logs
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve mold performance and resolve recurring issues
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at all times
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and extend mold/tooling life
- Maintain spare parts and tooling inventory, requesting replacements as needed
- Operate manual and precision tools such as grinders, lathes, and polishing equipment when required
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training in tool and die, machining, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in mold maintenance, toolmaking, or injection molding environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read and interpret blueprints, mold drawings, and technical manuals
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
- Ability to operate machine shop equipment for mold repair and modification
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and tooling design
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed
Work Environment
This position operates within a high-volume manufacturing facility. Work includes hands-on repair, inspection, and operation of molds and tooling. Strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards is required.
