Cubby Oil Company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to help maintain our fleet of oil delivery trucks and service vans. ensuring that our equipment is running safely and efficiently. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and dependable operation.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulics.

Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized tools and software.

Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to determine the root cause and appropriate repairs.

Complete preventative maintenance services and keep detailed service records.

Order and replace parts as needed, ensuring proper installation and operation.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines and minimize equipment downtime.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational diesel training preferred).

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty equipment technician.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Ability to use diagnostic equipment and repair tools.

Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
