Job DescriptionProfessional Land Surveyor (PLS) Position Overview:
We are a full-service civil engineering and surveying firm with residential, commercial and industrial projects throughout all of New England. With nearly 20 years of experience, our firm provides a full range of permitting, land surveying and civil engineering services for both public and private sector clients. We are seeking an experienced PLS to join our team and lead survey operations throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate land surveys for various projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
- Use specialized surveying equipment and software to collect and analyze data, create maps and drawings, and prepare reports.
- Interpret legal documents, property deeds, and other records to determine property boundaries and ownership.
- Conduct field surveys to gather accurate measurements and other data about the land.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as civil engineers, to ensure that survey data meets project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) License or have passed LSIT exam
- 2+ years of experience in land surveying and/or civil engineering.
- College degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment including GPS, robotic total stations, and drones.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, or other surveying software.
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents and property deeds.
- Experience managing and supervising a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors.
