Support K12 Students as a School-Based Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
This contract position offers an opportunity to apply your occupational therapy skills in public schools throughout Massachusetts for the 20252026 academic year. You will work directly with students to improve fine and gross motor skills, sensory regulation, and life skills essential for learning and independence, supporting equity and inclusion in diverse educational settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop data-driven treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services aligned with individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
- Document therapy services and track progress following district protocols
- Empower students with skills for classroom participation, self-care, and social-emotional growth
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license or eligibility before start date
- Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy highly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes, individualized goal setting, and evidence-based interventions
- Compliance with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and district employment requirements
Location:Positions are available in K12 public schools across Massachusetts, including the Boston area, North Shore, Western Massachusetts, Central Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and South Shore.
