If transforming drawings into high-precision parts is your thing, this role is for you. Join us in Newington, NH as an Advanced Metalcutting Machinist (CNC). You’ll report to the Machine Shop Supervisor, work fully onsite, and operate on 2nd shift only. We’re open to a range of experience levels—your interview and our shop needs will determine where you fit. Local applicants to the Newington area are encouraged to apply.

What you’ll tackle

• Operate metal removal and forming machinery to produce precision parts.
• Select appropriate metrology and hand tools; verify dimensions during the process.
• Work from drawings, sketches, and both written and verbal directions while adhering to PP-09-01.
• Deliver close-tolerance work aligned with engineering documentation.
• Run any machine types for which you are qualified per the department training matrix, with minimal training required.
• Identify needs for custom jigs/fixtures and build them to support repeatability and accuracy.
• Plan and perform setups for tools, components, and castings to meet print specifications; setup times vary by size/complexity.
• Load or coordinate loading of machining centers to keep operations moving.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously when training, proximity, and qualifications allow.
• Optional: modify or troubleshoot machining programs based on your qualifications and training.
• Maintain 5S, strong housekeeping, and comply with all safety and criticality procedures.
• Own quality throughout machining to ensure tolerance compliance.
• Work with minimal supervision and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with demonstrated proficiency as a Westinghouse – Newington Machinist B or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge of CNC G-code.
• Experience with tooling, fixtures, and machine setups for quality output.
• Comfortable practicing 5S every day.
• Basic programming knowledge.
