JOB SUMMARY Responsible for operating injection molding machines in the production of plastic parts. This includes machine setup, calibration, operation, and shutdown, performing quality checks, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also involves tracking production data, communicating issues promptly, and assisting in other manufacturing areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow job traveler/work order to operate injection molding machines.
- Perform machine setup, calibrations, and shutdown as required.
- Conduct visual and precision measurement quality checks during and after production.
- Maintain work and break schedules to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Unload finished parts, stack, and bag products for storage or shipping.
- Operate computer systems to load/run work instructions and track production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments.
- Report any issues, downtime, or nonconforming products to management promptly.
- Segregate and properly mark products not meeting specifications.
- Assist with duties in other manufacturing areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous machine production operation experience, ideally in injection molding.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and processes.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Desire to work as part of a motivated, energetic team.
- Bilingual communication skills a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Injection molding experience strongly preferred.
