Additional Summer Planning Days: 5 paid days in July (flexibly scheduled)
Schedule: 5 days/week | 7.5 hours/day | Total of 180 school days

Position Overview:
The Hyde Park School District is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our student support services team for the 20252026 academic year. This full-time, school-based position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a vibrant educational team committed to inclusive education and student well-being. The BCBA will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavior support strategies across a variety of classroom settings, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop data-driven, evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and other specialists.

Observe and assess students in classroom and other school environments to evaluate behavioral and learning challenges.

Train and coach staff (teachers, paraeducators, support personnel) in the implementation of behavior plans, proactive classroom strategies, and data collection.

Monitor the fidelity and effectiveness of behavior interventions and adjust as necessary.

Serve as a resource and consultant in IEP meetings, providing expertise in the area of behavioral support and progress monitoring.

Lead team meetings focused on student behavior, and participate in professional development and district-wide initiatives related to PBIS, SEL, and inclusive practices.

Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform programming and decision-making.

Work closely with families to ensure consistency and collaboration between school and home environments.
Qualifications:

Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

Current BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a behavior analyst in the state of Vermont.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with autism spectrum disorder, emotional/behavioral disabilities, developmental delays, and/or other learning needs.
