Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a full-time special education professional to support high school students within an early childhood school setting. This position is a contract role starting as soon as possible, with the potential for renewal. The role is based in Woodstock, VT, and offers a unique blend of in-school and community-based responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to approximately five high school students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate closely with assigned 1:1 paraprofessionals to meet each student's learning and behavioral goals.
• Facilitate academic activities and support within the classroom during the first half of the day.
• Assist students in community job placements during the afternoon, helping them develop work skills and independence.
• Monitor progress and communicate effectively with families, staff, and community partners.
• Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure in Special Education.
• Experience working with high school-aged students with special needs.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment including paraprofessionals and community employers.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering student independence and community integration.

• Woodstock, Vermont, Early Childhood School.
