ABA Behavior Technician Overview:
Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, this role provides 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism (ASD). Therapy sessions are one-to-one, usually last 3-4 hours and primarily take place duringearly afternoon - after school hours. Depending on the needs of the client, sessions can be held in the client's home, community, and/or at the AKABA Center. This role collects data using a company provided tablet and is regularly trained in ABA strategies and the client's treatment plan by the case supervisor (BCBA). Our team focuses on assigning cases that match your availability and experience that are local to your home address or regular school/other work location. Travel time pay and mileage reimbursements are available (when applicable).
ABA Behavior Technician Qualifications
- Friendly and energetic, enjoys working with individuals with needs
- Experience working with children or medical experience
- Timely and organized
- Ability to work independently
- Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations
