A pharmaceutical professional is needed for a contract role based in Nantucket, MA, supporting an outpatient/retail pharmacy connected to a hospital. This assignment offers an engaging opportunity to work day shifts for approximately 13 weeks, covering a vacancy with a Monday to Friday schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately within an outpatient/retail hospital pharmacy setting
- Counsel patients on medication use and safety
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize pharmacy services and patient care
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and protocols
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts pharmacist license is required
- Proven retail pharmacy experience is essential
- Ability to work full-time daytime hours, Monday through Friday
- Positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Location Details:
- Assignment is located on Nantucket Island, requiring ferry access
- Ferry travel costs are partially reimbursed, with additional assistance available
- Housing is provided in shared accommodations shared with other travelers, due to local housing shortages
