A Massachusetts school district is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide 1:1 medical support for a high school student with complex medical needs. This role involves accompanying the student during bus transportation and throughout the school day to ensure safety, comfort, and access to learning.
Student Support Details:

Student is wheelchair-bound

G/J tube care and suctioning required

Seizure care knowledge required

Hoyer lift available for all lifting and transfers
Schedule & Transportation:

Morning bus pick-up at students home: approximately 7:007:30 AM

Travel with student to school site

Remain onsite during the school day

Afternoon departure from school: approximately 2:303:00 PM

Bus transportation is included as part of the assignment
Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care throughout the school day

Monitor students medical status and respond to health needs

Administer tube feedings and perform suctioning as required

Support seizure management per care plan

Collaborate with school staff and follow individualized healthcare plans

Ensure student safety during transportation and school activities
Requirements:

Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)

Experience with complex medical needs in a school or pediatric setting preferred

Comfortable providing 1:1 care and working collaboratively with school teams
