Job Description

Job DescriptionHeavy-Duty Diesel Systems Technician

Picture your day starting in a well-equipped shop, coffee in hand, scanning your first work order. A tractor-trailer rolls in with an intermittent electrical fault—your diagnostic laptop connects, codes populate, and your expertise takes over. By midday, you’ve completed scheduled PMs across the fleet, and by afternoon, you’re on a quick road call getting a driver safely moving again. That’s the rhythm here—meaningful, hands-on work that keeps freight moving and people safe.

What you’ll do

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on tractors and trailers using standard test procedures and computer-based diagnostics.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on company trucks and trailers to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Handle occasional emergency road calls to restore units to service.
  • Conduct DOT inspections in alignment with FMCSA guidelines.
  • Safely perform all physical aspects of the role: lift/pull 75+ lbs without restriction, stand or lie for extended periods, and maneuver with sufficient flexibility to access equipment.

What you bring

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ownership of essential hand tools required for the trade.
  • Technical or advanced degree, or 2+ years of equivalent diesel/vehicle maintenance experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL.
  • ASE certifications in Preventive Maintenance and Brakes are preferred.

Schedule, pay, and bonus

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
  • Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 (paid within the first 90 days)

Why you’ll love working here

  • Dedicated internal company fleet; we maintain all major shop tools.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • PTO starts accruing on day one (estimated 13 days/year) and 8 paid holidays per year.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, RX, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance.
  • Virtual physical therapy, plus Sleep Apnea and Diabetes management support.
  • Parental Leave provided according to FMLA state guidelines.
  • Boot Allowance Program; uniforms and all required safety PPE provided.
  • Career training and development, ASE certification reimbursement, and study material assistance.
  • Apprenticeship Program available.
