A K-12 school in Salem, MA, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students lives within a supportive and structured environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Special Education
- Valid MA Special Education Teacher certification (Grades 6-12)
- Expertise in Moderate, Mild, and Severe Disabilities
- Skilled in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
Location: Salem, MA
Grade Levels: 6th through 12th grade
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Contract Duration: Contract School Year (CSY)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students unique learning challenges
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
