Bay Farm Montessori Academy is seeking a thoughtful, creative, full-time Spanish Language teacher who wants to actively engage students between the ages of 3 and 12 in learning Spanish.

It is possible that the position can be split into two part time roles: one in the morning (10:00-1:00) for the 3-6 year olds and one in the afternoon (1:00-4:00) for grades 1-6 OR one 10:00-4:00 benefits eligible position to work with both programs.

The ideal candidate will be equipped to give a Spanish foundation to three distinct groups of students: Children's House (ages 3-6), Elementary I (ages 6-9), and Elementary II (ages 9-12). They will be adept at providing an engaging, age-appropriate Montessori-inspired curriculum to small groups of children throughout the day. In the upper grades, student largely work at their own pace, developing useful receptive and expressive vocabulary and are encouraged to apply their developing fluency in a wide range of applications including correct grammar and usage.

The Spanish Language teacher guides learning experiences and encourages independence and self-motivation through small group lessons and a well-prepared environment.

Applicants must demonstrate fluency in Spanish and a desire to create an outstanding Spanish language learning experience for all. The ability to effectively manage a classroom of students is vital to ensuring the program's success. Ancillary responsibilities include lunch and recess coverage on the lower campus.
