The SR. Electro-Mechanical Assembler supports ARC’s mission by producing defect free products that exceed our customer's expectations in quality, and on time delivery leveraging lean six sigma practices. They are responsible for assembly, modification, rework and repairing cables, wire harnesses, electronic and mechanical assemblies, and sub-assemblies. Will perform work using assembly drawings, and detailed work instructions. Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and be able to follow written and verbal work instructions. Must be able to set up and operate typical production tools and equipment.


Responsibilities

•Candidate should have experience performing a wide range of electromechanical assembly with demonstrated skill cabling systems, connecting and torquing large and small assemblies

•Assemble and install point to point wire harnesses in cabinet/box builds

•Ability to maintain productivity and to proactively move between job assignments without specific direction

•Knowledge of crimping and pull testing of crimps

•Collaborate with engineering and other personnel to identify, define, and solve assembly problems

•Understanding of 5S principals and personal accountability for workspace and tooling

•Ability to check BOMs, manage inventory and send communications as necessary, and to complete accurate, timely paperwork

•Can transition easily between product lines with minimal training

•Knowledge of bills of materials (BOM) structure and ability to read and interpret assembly and schematic diagrams required

Requirements:

Skills

•Candidate should have a strong mechanical and electrical background and knowledge of general hand tools

•Effective communication and collaboration skills

•Motivated individual, fast learner, and capable of working independently

•Must be able to read and understand prototype and assembly drawings and, wire run lists

•Knowledge and the ability to use basic machine shop equipment is highly desirable

•Knowledge and ability to solder and desolder components on PCBs

•Knowledge of and ability to follow company ISO and ESD procedures is required

•Knowledge and the ability to safely use basic hand tools, torque wrenches and wire strippers, crimpers, solder irons


Education/Training/Experience

•Manufacturing assembly experience of 5+ years

•Requires high school/trade school or equivalent

•IPC/WHAA-A-620 certification a plus

•IPC-A-610 Certification a plus

•J-STD-001 Certification a plus


Working Conditions

•Warehouse environment

•Walk, stand, reach and lift 30lbs on an occasion

•May occasionally sit, kneel, crouch and crawl

•Push and pull up to 50lbs on occasion
