Position Summary: The Site Supervisor is responsible for the on-site coordination and execution of single-family home construction projects. This role oversees subcontractors, scheduling, quality control, safety, and documentation to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with Chinburg Builders standards and specifications.


Essential Responsibilities:

Project & Site Management

  • Oversee and document all daily jobsite activities, including OSHA compliance.
  • Direct field personnel in accordance with project plans and Chinburg supervisory standards.
  • Communicate daily progress, issues, and performance updates to the Project Manager.
  • Identify and report issues promptly to facilitate cost-effective resolutions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Participate in project start-up, turnover, and mobilization meetings.
  • Assist in identifying pre-mobilization activities and allocating resources appropriately.

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Implement and manage the project baseline schedule, ensuring alignment with contracts and subcontractor commitments.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular schedule updates.
  • Supervise and coordinate CBI field staff and Assistant Supervisors.

Safety Management

  • Ensure subcontractors maintain required SDS documentation and site-specific safety plans.
  • Enforce OSHA standards and all project safety requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety monitoring and jobsite inspections.
  • Review safety reports and incident data to assess performance.
  • Ensure projects are properly staffed and budgeted to support safety compliance.
  • Communicate clear safety expectations to all project personnel.

Quality Management

  • Ensure inspections are completed, documented, and communicated.
  • Implement and manage the worklist and punch list process.
  • Perform minor work as needed to maintain schedule and quality.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors on materials and selections.
  • Administer Chinburgs Quality Management program and track deficiencies through resolution.

Subcontractor & Site Coordination

  • Participate in pre-construction planning, including site logistics and staging.
  • Organize and maintain all jobsite documentation.
  • Manage subcontractor performance to ensure quality, safety, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve personnel and process issues.

Meetings & Communication

  • Attend project turnover, mobilization, and coordination meetings.
  • Participate in owner and client meetings as needed.
  • Attend weekly project and PM meetings.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete daily reports, weekly progress photos, and issue logs.
  • Monitor material deliveries for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain required safety and project documentation.
  • Assist with invoice review and approvals.

Project Closeout

  • Manage subcontractor closeout activities.
  • Coordinate utilities transfer, owner training, and punch list completion.
  • Obtain Certificate of Occupancy.

Additional Duties

  • Verify layout, dimensions, and subcontractor work for accuracy.
  • Monitor daily construction progress for contract compliance.
  • Document work through reports, photos, and sketches.
  • Assist in mentoring and supervising carpenters and laborers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 35 years of residential construction site supervision experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

  • Skilled in multiple trades with an eye for quality workmanship
