About this Program: The WonderKids Summer Enrichment Program gives youth space to be children, to explore, and be curious as they move into their futures as happy, healthy, kind humans. Our Summer 2025 theme is “Color the World!” and we will organize a wide range of activities for our campers to help them see that they have something to offer the world, and that they can leave their mark. From wilderness adventures and skills, to fine arts and crafts, our campers will explore their potential with our Enrichment Experts this summer. Our camp is almost 100% outside - so all activities should be prepared to take place in the great outdoors, or maybe just the backyard in the shade.
About the Enrichment Expert Position: What skill or talent do you have that you know kids would love to learn and you would love to teach? If you have experience with kids and passion for what you do, consider leading an enrichment block this summer. We are looking for activities in visual arts, theater arts, team games, nature exploration, outdoor skills, traditional arts… and more! Our theme is “Color the World.”
Responsibilities:
- Writing a brief description of the activity for our marketing team
- Submitting lesson plans to our staff (we may suggest changes to best align your program with ours)
- Providing supply lists for ordering, or invoices for materials they bring from their own practice
- Attending ½ day training during week of June 30th, date TBD
- Setting up their enrichment area
- Teaching for the designated time (1 hour)
- Cleaning up after their enrichment
- Participating in child observation reporting
- Working as part of the Camp team for smooth collaboration and everyone’s success and enjoyment!
Camp Schedule: Our Summer Outdoor Adventure Camp for children entering grades 1-7 runs Monday through Friday for five (5) weeks. Experts may work any (or all!) of the following weeks.
- All-camp training (one mandatory day TBD) Week of June 30-July 3
- Week 1: July 7-11
- Week 2: July 14-18
- Week 3: July 21-25
- Week 4: July 28-August 1
- Week 5: August 4-8
Daily Schedule: Schedules are still being built, below is a tentative draft. All experts must work Monday - Friday of their selected week, and may sign up for just mornings, just afternoons, or both.
Morning activity block schedule: 9:30am - 12:00pm
- Activity setup: 9:30am - 10:15am (45 minute)
- Delivering activity: 10:15am - 11:15am (60 minutes)
- Activity cleanup: 11:15am - 12:00pm (45 minutes)
Afternoon activity block schedule: 12:30pm - 3:00pm
- Activity setup: 12:30pm - 1:15pm (45 minutes)
- Delivering activity: 1:15pm - 2:15pm (60 minutes)
- Activity cleanup: 2:15pm - 3:00pm (45 minutes)
Compensation: $475/per week/session (e.g. $475 for one week, Monday - Friday, mornings only. $950 for one week, Monday - Friday, mornings AND afternoons)
