Our client is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to play a key role in safeguarding their computing environment and information assets. This position is critical in ensuring we stay ahead of risks and vulnerabilities while maintaining compliance with industry standards and frameworks. As a Senior Security Analyst, you’ll serve as a subject matter expert in internal security analysis processes.


In this role you will:

  • Monitor and analyze activity across multiple platforms (SIEM, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, packet captures, etc.)
  • Assess alerts and anomalies to determine security impact
  • Lead root cause analysis of critical events and coordinate remediation efforts
  • Develop reports highlighting high-impact security issues
  • Research emerging security threats, with a strong focus on medical device security
  • Stay current on trends in cybersecurity and the evolving threat landscape
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 protection



Background:

  • 3–5 years of security experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Hands-on expertise with open-source security tools
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, ePHI, HITRUST, ISO, and NIST frameworks
  • Ability to work independently, apply IT security policies, and think consultatively
  • Advanced technical skills to support security operations and related systems



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in data/trend analysis and report creation
  • Scripting/programming experience to enhance security operations
  • Working knowledge of malware analysis
