Job Summary
Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnered with a well-established engineering consulting firm in the Boston market to help them hire a seasoned Electrical Engineer. This role supports high-visibility commercial, institutional, and technically complex building projects. The position offers long-term growth, leadership opportunity, and exposure to meaningful, design-driven work within a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design efforts for commercial, institutional, healthcare, biotech, higher education, and mixed-use building projects
- Develop electrical system designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Participate in client meetings, site surveys, and project coordination sessions
- Collaborate closely with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Oversee and mentor designers and drafters as appropriate to level
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, energy codes, and NFPA standards
- Support quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project delivery
- Monitor scope, schedule, and budget alignment in coordination with project leadership
Qualifications and Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 10+ years experience designing electrical systems for building projects
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of state building codes, energy codes, and NFPA standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients
- Professional Engineer license preferred but not required
Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
