Swim Angelfish has over 25 years of experience in aquatic therapy and adaptive swim training. Our mission is to make children of all abilities comfortable and safe in the water, ensuring they feel confident and independent in recreational activities. Swim Angelfish offers aquatic therapy and Adaptive Swim Whisperer Swim Lessons for swimmers with Autism, Anxiety, Sensory and Motor challenges across NH, CT, MA, and NY. Our online training courses teach strategies and techniques for adaptive swim and aquatic therapy, and we provide free resources to improve safety and awareness for special needs swimmers.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist based in Stoughton, West Roxbury, and Newton, MA. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will provide aquatic therapy to children, focusing on sensory integration and motor skills development, creating therapeutic short- and long-term goals, working closely with children and their families, and documenting progress. The role requires collaboration with swim instructors, other therapist and parents to integrate aquatic therapy into treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Skills in Sensory Integration and Occupational Therapy
- Experience in Pediatrics and Early Intervention
- Ability to work effectively with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant certifications and licenses in Occupational Therapy
- A strong commitment to child safety and well-being
- Experience in aquatic therapy is a plus
- Flexibility to adapt to each child's unique needs
- Comfort in the water and strong swim ability
