Superior Contracting Services is a full-service open shop specialty service contractor providing General Labor, Demolition, and Construction Cleaning Services to the commercial construction industry through New England.


We are looking for a reliable General Labor Foreman. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing other SCS crew members at jobsites to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. This is a working role, so you will also be expected to work alongside your team.


Location: Various Job sites located in MA, NH, RI and NY

Starting rate: Competitive Pay (pay is based on experience)

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.

  • Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors

  • Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment.

  • Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably

  • Regularly report project status to supervisors, client superintendents and other management.

  • Interact with client superintendents to ensure daily tasks are completed to their satisfaction.

  • Communicate between Superior Field Operations Management team and Clients is a must.

  • Track, prioritize, and delegate tasks to laborers on your team.

  • Complete work orders and track time for your crew daily while submitting to SCS office in a timely manner.

  • Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.

  • May operate hand and power tools of all types.

  • May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials.

  • May assist other craft workers.

Qualifications:

  • The ability to fluently read, write and speak English.

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Must be able to work in, on, around, over and under equipment and machinery.

  • Must be able to work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.

  • Must be able to lift heavy weighted materials/equipment (50 70+ lbs.).

  • Must be able to work in adverse or extreme weather conditions.

  • Must be able to wear and work in personnel protective equipment.

  • Must have a vehicle or reliable means of transportation to and from jobsite.

  • Must have high regard for safety in the workplace.

  • Good attitude: must work well with others and take direction.

  • Must be responsible and punctual.
