Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based nursing role is available to provide 1:1 substitute nursing services for a student in a middle school setting in Peterborough, NH. This contract position offers the opportunity to support a student with specialized medical needs throughout the school year (CSY). Candidates with LPN/LVN or RN qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to a student during specified dates.
- Monitor and manage residual and delay bolus feeding.
- Administer feedings via pump and G-tube.
- Monitor vital signs including heart rate and oxygen saturation.
- Perform oral and nasal suctioning and provide mouth wound care as necessary.
- Collaborate with school personnel to ensure the students health and safety during school hours.
Dates and Hours:
- February 2: 7:008:30 AM (additional hours up to a half day may be compensated)
- February 14, 15, 16: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
- March 13: 11:00 AM2:30 PM
- March 16: 7:008:30 AM (additional hours up to a half day may be compensated)
- March 25, 26, 27: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
- March 30, 31: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
- May 6, 7: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
- May 12, 13, 14: 7:00 AM2:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant school nursing experience.
- Competency in managing G-tube feedings and suctioning.
- Ability to monitor and respond to vital signs accurately.
- Strong communication and observational skills.
- Dependable and able to work independently in a school environment.
