Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available to support students with special needs in a K-12 educational setting located in Cambridge, MA. We are seeking experienced Special Education Teachers with a moderate license and expertise in secondary education to fulfill leave contract roles.

Positions Available:

  • Two full-time Special Education Teachers at the high school level (Grades 9-12), with schedules from 7:30 am to 2:10 pm, extending through June 2026.
  • One full-time Special Education Teacher at the middle school level (Grades 6-8), working from 7:50 am to 2:40 pm, ending in March 2026.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid moderate special education teaching license.
  • Experience teaching students in grades 6-12, preferably in secondary settings.
  • Ability to deliver individualized instruction tailored to students diverse learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
