\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n

    \n\t
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Vermont RN licenses considered case-by-case
  • \n\t

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) and LDRP nursing experience
  • \n\t

  • Prior travel nursing experience required (not accepting first-time travelers)
  • \n\t

  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • \n\t

  • ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE certifications preferred
  • \n\t

  • Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required for this Vermont nursing job)
  • \n\t

  • Experience as a baby nurse at delivery: neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, newborn medication administration
  • \n\t

  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for flu only)
  • \n\t

  • Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation available)
  • \n\t

  • All-season or snow tires required November–April (Vermont winter driving)
  • \n

\n\nLabor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities\n\n

    \n\t
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to women and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit
  • \n\t

  • Float to other units and participate in on-call shifts (2 x 12-hour shifts per rolling 4-week period)
  • \n\t

  • Work every other weekend and adjust schedule as needed for patient care
  • \n\t

  • Lead or assist in neonatal resuscitations, assign APGAR scores, and administer newborn medications
  • \n\t

  • Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR
  • \n\t

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • \n\t

  • Work at least 2 out of 4 major holidays if scheduled (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
  • \n\t

  • Complete all compliance documentation prior to start date
  • \n
