A leading mechanical contractor on Boston’s North Shore is seeking an HVAC Estimator / Project Manager with strong mechanical construction experience.

This is not a GC role — it’s ideal for someone who understands HVAC systems, piping, sheet metal, and design-build projects from both the estimating and project-management sides.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical HVAC estimates, takeoffs, and proposals for commercial and industrial projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field teams from pre-construction through closeout.
• Work directly with engineers, clients, and superintendents to ensure scope, quality, and safety compliance.
• Lead coordination of MEP trades, materials procurement, and change-order tracking.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and promote a strong safety culture on every job.
• Mentor junior PMs and field supervisors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC / mechanical construction.
• Proven estimating experience with labor, materials, piping, ductwork, and equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems: chillers, boilers, air handlers, hydronic and steam piping.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-relation skills.
• Experience working for a mechanical contractor or MEP firm (required).
