Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school nursing professional is needed to provide compassionate, skilled care to students with complex medical needs in a middle school and preschool setting in Rochester, NH. This opportunity is a Contract position lasting through the 2025-2026 school year (CSY).

Two Registered Nurses (RNs) are sought to manage two distinct caseloads:

Caseload A (Full Time): Support a male middle school student with Type 1 Diabetes. Experience or training in diabetes management is required. Responsibilities include providing direct care, monitoring health status, and accompanying the student on bus rides. The schedule is Monday through Friday, roughly from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM (including school hours of 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM) with adjustments for early release days.
Caseload B (Part Time): Care for a preschool student with complex medical needs, including seizure management and NG tube care. The position requires available hours on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from approximately 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Bus riding with the student may also be necessary. The anticipated start date is mid-February 2024, continuing through June 15, 2026.

Qualifications and Experience:

Current RN licensure in New Hampshire.
Specialized training and hands-on experience with school nursing.
Competence in managing Type 1 Diabetes and seizure protocols.
Ability to handle medical devices such as NG tubes.
Willingness to accompany students during transportation on school buses.
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a school environment.
