Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Nursing
Location: Falmouth, MA (02540)
Job Details:

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift: Primarily Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with flexibility to pick up Evening Shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and holiday required
Pay Package:
-
Traveler Rate: $2,200 per week
-
Local Rate: $1,800 per week
Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the daily activities of nursing assistants in a long-term care environment. This role supports the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and facility standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants on assigned shifts

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
-
Accurately document nursing care, physician orders, and resident responses
-
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with appropriate documentation
-
Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
-
Participate in care planning, resident rounds, and regulatory surveys/inspections
-
Ensure adequate supplies, medications, and equipment are available on the unit
-
Educate residents and families regarding care needs and treatment plans
-
Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, and standards of care
Education, Licensure & Certifications:
-
Graduate of an approved LPN program
-
Active, unencumbered Massachusetts LPN license
-
BLS/CPR (AED) certification required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations
-
Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
-
Ability to supervise staff and make independent clinical decisions

Team-oriented with leadership and supervisory abilities
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements of the role

Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
