Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Nursing

Location: Falmouth, MA (02540)

Job Details:

  • Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Shift: Primarily Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with flexibility to pick up Evening Shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

  • Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and holiday required

Pay Package:

  • Traveler Rate: $2,200 per week

  • Local Rate: $1,800 per week

Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the daily activities of nursing assistants in a long-term care environment. This role supports the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants on assigned shifts

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

  • Accurately document nursing care, physician orders, and resident responses

  • Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with appropriate documentation

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Participate in care planning, resident rounds, and regulatory surveys/inspections

  • Ensure adequate supplies, medications, and equipment are available on the unit

  • Educate residents and families regarding care needs and treatment plans

  • Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, and standards of care

Education, Licensure & Certifications:

  • Graduate of an approved LPN program

  • Active, unencumbered Massachusetts LPN license

  • BLS/CPR (AED) certification required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations

  • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to supervise staff and make independent clinical decisions

  • Team-oriented with leadership and supervisory abilities

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements of the role

  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
