SAFETY AMBASSADOR

In this role you will:
- Provide a presence of calm in the health center, ensuring that patients and staff are safe.
- Enforce health center rules protecting the safety of staff, patients & visitors to the health center
- Monitors electronic surveillance system
- Maintains security presence with patrols of Lynn CHC sites
- Patrol buildings, grounds and perimeter of property, identify unsafe conditions and improperly secured areas/property to help prevent theft, injuries or damages
- Responds to emergency calls/codes as current location deems possible
- De-escalate situations quickly and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with local authorities as needed.
- Maintains security of unoccupied space owned by the Health Center.
- Assists staff as needed in matters of security and safety.
- Conduct preliminary investigations into thefts, threats and other complaints involving potential criminal misconduct
- Notifies Director of Operations of needs for major repairs or unsafe conditions needing attention.
- Prepare and submit written reports in a complete and accurate manner and log all incidents
- Create safety awareness amongst guest and staff
- Maintain accountability for valuables/property and evidence
- Provide escorts for staff, visitors and patients as required
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
The successful applicant will offer:
- He/she will have demonstrated experience in the security field.
- Associate’s Degree or relevant work history.
- Round to several LCHC Site locations
- He/she must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and a positive attitude,
- as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations, and to handle complex interpersonal situations while demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Further, the individual must possess strong risk analysis and organizational skills.
- He/she must be able to gather, assemble, evaluate and use facts and evidence as well as interview victims, complainants, witnesses and suspects.
- The individual must be able to prepare clear and concise reports and routine correspondence and operate office equipment, including computers and related applications
- Individual must meet the physical demands of the job, standing/walking for a majority of the day.
- He/she will work inside and outside year round alone or as a member of a crew.
- Bilingual skills very helpful.
