Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare imaging professional with MRI expertise is sought for a contract opportunity in Northfield, VT, at a respected community hospital within a larger health network. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse team of more than 40 technologists across multiple imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and mammography.
Work Schedule:
- Typically 8-hour shifts, self-scheduling available
- Call requirements include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (8 a.m. to 12 p.m.)
- Rotations may include work in surgery, fluoroscopy suites, and off-site locations within the radiology department
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine MRI exams using advanced equipment including a wide bore GE Optima 450w MRI scanner
- Administer contrast injections as required for MRI procedures
- Float to other imaging modalities such as CT and X-ray to support varied department needs
- Maintain detailed documentation using the Epic system
- Comply with dress code requirements: scrubs of any color, closed non-skid shoes, minimal jewelry, groomed hair/beard, no artificial nails
- Respond to on-call requirements when scheduled
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in MRI imaging or related modalities
- ARRT certification in radiology; vascular certification preferred for ultrasound technologists
- Experience with contrast injections for MRI exams
- Ability to work collaboratively within a large imaging team and independently when required
- Strong attention to patient care, safety protocols, and documentation standards
