We are seeking a results-driven, experienced Maintenance Manager in Sutton, MA. This Direct Hire role plays a critical part in ensuring maximum equipment uptime, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.
Salary: $115k-$130k
Schedule: Monday-Friday (Saturdays as needed)
Key Responsibilities:
- 
Provide strategic direction and daily leadership for the Maintenance Department. 
- 
Supervise, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians to meet departmental and company goals. 
- 
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues promptly. 
- 
Collaborate with Production and Engineering to ensure seamless operational support. 
- 
Maintain and improve preventive maintenance programs based on vendor specifications and operational needs. 
- 
Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, GMP, and company safety protocols. 
- 
Monitor and manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and parts inventory using computerized maintenance software (MaintScape). 
- 
Conduct safety inspections and enforce all PPE and sanitation requirements. 
- 
Manage vendor relationships and oversee competitive bidding for parts and services. 
- 
Maintain accurate documentation, maintenance records, and downtime reports. 
- 
Lead training on CMMS utilization and safety procedures. 
- 
Work effectively in a refrigerated/cold environment when needed. 
Qualifications:
- 
Proven experience (10+ years) in Maintenance Management, preferably in the food production industry. 
- 
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. 
- 
Extensive knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and automated production systems. 
- 
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and computerized maintenance systems. 
- 
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and optimize team performance. 
- 
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills at all organizational levels. 
- 
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. 
Preferred Experience:
- 
At least 5 years in a fresh meat production or food manufacturing environment. 
- 
Working knowledge of sanitation procedures in food processing. 
- 
Experience managing maintenance in compliance with USDA and GMP standards. 
- 
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field strongly preferred. 
- 
Ability to lift, climb ladders, and navigate catwalks. 
- 
Must be able to bend, kneel, balance, reach overhead, and work in a cold/refrigerated setting.
