Job Goal
Under the supervision of a school administrator, the teacher is responsible for delivering effective, high-quality, and rigorous instruction in various content areas. The goal is to ensure measurable academic growth and understanding for all students. Teachers are also responsible for observing, evaluating, and supporting student academic performance.
Position:
Middle School Science Teacher
Location: Boston, MA (Jamaica Plain)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Rate: $50–$55/hour
About the Opportunity
An established middle school in Jamaica Plain is seeking a dedicated 7th Grade Science Teacher to join its team immediately. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity and critical thinking while maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations.
Responsibilities:

Teach up to four middle school Science classes.

Support students in achieving academic and personal growth goals.

Participate in coaching and professional development sessions.

Contribute to school programming and community initiatives.
Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience (urban education preferred).

Meets or can meet Massachusetts DESE certification requirements within one year of hire.

Demonstrated belief in student potential and commitment to continuous improvement.

Proven record of student success and ability to work collaboratively on a team.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have current U.S. work authorization.
