Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in New Bedford, MA is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve a K-12 caseload for the upcoming school year. This is a contract position with multiple openings available, ideal for experienced clinicians as well as new graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students across grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and Clinical Fellows (CFYs), if applicable
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC) strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a school setting highly preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is a distinct advantage
- Ability to supervise SLPAs and CFYr candidates preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
