Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Special Education Teachers are needed in Massachusetts to support diverse student populations in multiple classroom settings. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with K-12 students across a range of special education needs. Careful attention to individual student caseloads and collaborative teamwork with educators and families are key components of the role.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
Deliver specialized instructional support in inclusive or self-contained classrooms.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success.
Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state education regulations.
Participate in meetings with parents and educational teams to update and revise IEPs as needed.

Qualifications:

Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License.
Experience managing caseloads spanning elementary through high school grades.
Familiarity with a variety of classroom structures, including inclusive and self-contained settings.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs.
