Envoy Recruitment is conducting a confidential search for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a growing, highly respected GI service in the Greater Boston market. This is a rare opportunity to practice community-based gastroenterology while maintaining a strong academic and tertiary-care affiliation.

The role offers the autonomy and patient continuity of a community practice, paired with the depth of resources, referral support, and academic environment of a major teaching institution.

Position Overview

This position is designed for a Gastroenterologist who enjoys comprehensive general GI care and wants to practice within a well-resourced, collaborative, and mission-driven healthcare environment.

Your primary clinical practice will be based in Brighton, serving a high-demand community population, while maintaining formal academic and tertiary clinical integration within a leading Boston academic medical center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient general gastroenterology care
  • Perform routine GI procedures including EGD and colonoscopy
  • Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of GI conditions including GERD, liver disease, IBS, IBD, and GI bleeding
  • Participate in a shared inpatient coverage and call rotation
  • Collaborate with tertiary GI subspecialists for advanced referrals and complex cases
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including APPs, GI nursing, and anesthesia support

Optional Academic Opportunities (Based on Interest):

  • Teaching medical students and residents
  • Participation in clinical quality and pathway development initiatives
  • Scholarly and research collaboration within a leading GI academic department

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
  • Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
  • Strong procedural skills and patient-centered clinical philosophy
  • Interest in community-focused medicine with academic collaboration
